The Lake Misurina is the largest natural lake in the Cadore region and is located at 1,754 m above sea level in Misurina, a hamlet of Auronzo di Cadore. This location is world-famous for its special microclimate and pure, balsamic air.
A mountain complex forming part of the Nuvolau group, within the Ampezzo Dolomites, northwest of San Vito di Cadore and southwest of Cortina D'Ampezzo. The Lake Sorapis, at the foot of the A. Vandelli refuge, is one of the most magical places in the Dolomites. Lying at an altitude of 1,900 m, the lake enchants with its turquoise colour and shades that vary depending on the angle of the sun, the shadows of the plants and the limestone soil below, the creator of this surreal colouring.
